(Washington, DC)  --  President Obama is expected to formally nominate James Comey as FBI director tomorrow.  Comey was a high-level Justice Department official in the prior Bush administration.  If confirmed by the Senate, Comey would replace retiring FBI Director Robert Mueller.  Mueller is stepping down in the fall after more than a decade at the helm of the nation's top law enforcement agency.  Comey is a Republican who is widely respected on both sides of the political spectrum.
