How Do Red Hot Chili Peppers Feel About Greta Van Fleet's Grammy Win?

Although girls proved they run the world during the Grammys on Sunday night (February 10), they let the boys have some fun, too. While the Red Hot Chili Peppers weren't nominated for any golden gramophones this year (it's fine, they've been nominated 12 times and won three), they gave the audience a collaboration we didn't realize we needed when they played their 2016 hit "Dark Necessities" off The Getaway alongside Post Malone, who also performed his singles "Rockstar" and "Stay."

Rock newcomers Greta Van Fleet also had a great night, taking home the "Best Rock Album" award for their debut EP, From The Fires. When the classic rock revivalists went back to their seats after giving their acceptance speech, RHCP drummer Chad Smith let the band know how he felt about their win by congratulating them with a celebratory handshake. Someone in attendance was able to catch the moment on camera. Watch a clip below.

Though the SoCal rockers haven't been nominated for a Grammy in quite some time, that could change next year. They're currently working on their 12th album, which we're hoping comes out sometime in 2019 despite a delay due to last year's devastating California wildfires.
