Postal Worker Finds Missing Two-Year-Old Who Spent The Night In The Cold

A postal worker is being hailed as a hero after he found a missing two-year-old boy on the side of I-95 in Elkridge, Maryland. Keith Rollins was driving to work when he spotted the young boy huddled behind part of a car on the side of the road.

"(He was) there shivering, cold," Rollins told WUSA9. "He only had a pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt, no shoes or socks, so I walked up to him. I said, 'Hey buddy. How you doing? What's your name? Are you OK?' He looked at me, but I didn't get a response from him."

He then grabbed the toddler and brought him to his vehicle to warm him up while he waited for the police to arrive.

The boy was suffering from hypothermia and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to fine and was reunited with his parents.

Authorities identified the boy as Ethan Adeyemi and said he went missing around 10 p.m. local time the night before. They believe he followed a family member outside and wandered away. When his parents realized he was missing, they called the police, who launched a massive search operation.

"This was concerning because it was so dark and so cold, and it was raining," Howard County Police spokesperson Sherry Llewellyn said.

Rollins said that he isn't a hero, he was just blessed to be in the right place at the right time.

"Giving glory to God that I was able to help at that particular time and be in the correct place at the right time," he said. "But a hero? Nah, not at all."
