Texas Mom Takes Down Creep Peeking Into Her Daughter's Bedroom

Hell hath no fury like a Texas mom.

A Lake Jackson mother channeled her inner football player to tackle a man who was allegedly looking into her daughter's bedroom, and the entire incident was caught on a police dashboard camera.

On January 31, Phyllis Pena returned home from the store to find a man trying to sneak a peek into her house. She called the police on the suspicious man, who took off running.

Pena was on her front lawn as the police arrived and started searching for the suspected peeper. The man was trying to evade the cops, but made the mistake of trying to get past Pena.

“First instinct was just to make sure he didn’t go any further,” the mom said in an interview with KPRC.

After locking in on her target and taking a few steps to her right, Pena gets both her arms around the peeper and takes him down like a sack of potatoes. Once the man was on the ground, officers stepped in to cuff him.

“The cop fist-bumped me and he was like, ‘Hey, so I heard the Texans are looking for a new linebacker,’” Pena said.

The man was later identified as 19-year-old Zane Hawkins, who was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest, and resisting arrest.
