Lifelike Robotic Pets Are Helping Isolated Seniors Avoid Loneliness


The cornavirus has isolated many senior citizens due to lack of human interaction. The Alabama Department of Senior Services is testing lifelike robotic pet companions with seniors to combat loneliness and provide companionship. After 1-year, 70% of participants report a decrease in isolation.
